NOTIFICATION OF ACCREDITATION APPROVAL BY THE ACCREDITATION COUNCIL OF ONCOLOGY IN EUROPE
I am pleased to inform you that accreditation approval has been granted for the 3rd Biennial Meeting of InSiGHT (event code CME-0604), by the Accreditation Council of Oncology in Europe (ACOE).
Approval by ACOE permits the organizers to “advertise the fact that conference has achieved CME accreditation approval, which means that the program has been recognized a high quality value both from a scientific and didactic point of view”. A request for European endorsement of ACOE accreditation has been submitted to the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) clearing house, the EACCME. ACOE has recommended that the event be granted 15 European CME credits.
The EACCME endorsement permits to get European recognition of CME credits within the different European states who have agreed to participate in the European accreditation system. You will also be interested to know that, following an agreement of mutual
recognition between the UEMS and the AMA (American Medical Association) European CME credit become valid credit towards the Physicians Recognition Award (PRA) in the United States.
